When is the Seafood Festival?
The Seafood Festival is always the last weekend in August. The 2012 dates are:
Saturday, August 27th – 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Sunday, August 28th – 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
Where is the festival held?
The festival is held on the grounds of the Long Island Maritime Museum located at 86 West Avenue in West Sayville, NY 11796. There is NO public parking on the festival grounds. Click here for parking and shuttle information.
What is the entry fee and what is included?
The entry fee includes free off-site parking, shuttle buses to and from the festival and all entertainment.
General Admission: $8.00 per person
Museum Members: $7.00 per person (must show membership card at time of ticket purchase)
Children younger than 5: Free

Do you accept credit cards at the gate?
No, the Seafood Festival is a cash only affair.
Can I park on-site?
No. Due to space limitations, only handicap and limited vendor parking with proper credentials will be available on site. Furthermore, heavy congestion is predicted for much of South Sayville and the surrounding areas so take advantage fo our free parking and shuttle buses and avoid delays!
Where can I park?
We have secured (5) parking lots for you to park and take our free shuttles directly to and from the festival.

What type of entertainment is included?
We have several notable musical acts performing on our Optimum main stage.

Can I reserve seats for any of the shows?
No, all entertainment is included with your admission. Main stage performances are standing room only and space is on a first-come, first-served basis.
What else is there to do at the festival?
EAT! We’ll have plenty of food and drink options for Seafood lovers and landlubbers alike.

Arts & Crafts Fair
Oodles of creative and practical items that appeal to all tastes and budgets will be on hand from artisans throughout the east coast.
Children’s Entertainment & Games
We will have several pirate re-enactment shows and family friendly treasure hunts scheduled throughout both festival days. In addition there will be face painting, sand art designing and fun games and rides for the little ones.
Do I need ID to purchase alcoholic beverages?
Yes, purchase and consumption of alcoholic beverages requires valid photo identification.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
No, outside food and beverages will not be allowed into the event.
Can I bring a cooler?
No, coolers, bottles, cans, or any outside food will not be allowed into the event.
Can I bring my pet?
No. Dogs or other pets are not allowed on the festival property or into the event.
Any suggestions for Festival attendees?
The Seafood Festival is an outdoor event which occurs during what is typically a very warm weekend on Long Island. We have several shaded and protected areas however, those attending should be prepared for warm weather and are reminded that staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water is key. The site is a park and comfortable shoes are recommended Be prepared to have fun!
Where do the Festival proceeds go?
The Seafood Festival is the Long Island Maritime Museum’s premier annual fundraiser. The museum, a 501-C-3 not-for profit, relies on proceeds from our annual fundraisers to allow us to continue our mission of educating the public on Long Island’s rich maritime history.

How do I get a press pass?
